JumpTabs converts sheet music into fully playable guitar tab files — automatically. Not a printout. A living tab you can slow down, loop, edit, and learn from. No manual transcription. Ever.

Sheet music
Playable tab
How it works
JumpTabs handles the hard part — turning musical notation into guitar positions — so you can focus on playing.
Upload a PDF, image, or scan of any sheet music — purchased, printed from lessons, or archived. JumpTabs reads it.
JumpTabs analyzes the notation and generates the corresponding guitar tab — mapping every note to its optimal fret position.
Your tab plays back immediately. Slow it down, loop a section, or step through note by note. Hear exactly how it should be articulated.
Adjust fret positions, add fingering notes, annotate techniques. Save your version and come back to it any time.

FAQ
JumpTabs accepts PDF files, JPG and PNG image scans, and standard MusicXML files. If you can photograph or scan your sheet music, JumpTabs can read it.
Accuracy depends on the clarity of the source sheet music. Clean, professionally printed notation converts with high accuracy. Handwritten or low-quality scans may require some manual correction using the built-in editor.
Guitar at launch — 6-string standard tuning with alternate tunings to follow. Bass, ukulele, and banjo are on the roadmap. The underlying conversion engine is instrument-agnostic, so expansion is planned.
Yes — JumpTabs includes a full tab editor. You can move notes to different strings, adjust fret positions, add technique markings, and annotate fingering. Your edits are saved with your version of the tab.
JumpTabs converts sheet music you upload for your personal practice use. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use the material you upload. JumpTabs does not store or share your uploaded sheet music.
Both are planned — a web app for immediate access and a desktop version for offline use. The web app will launch first.
